A Note from Ron
I’ve enjoyed more than five decades in education. Over the past 20 years, I’ve written 19 books and presented to teachers and administrators in hundreds of schools and districts across 25 states. I’ve also delivered keynotes and sessions at dozens of conferences, including ASCD, Learning Forward, Learning and the Brain, NBPTS, Eric Jensen’s Learning Brain Expo, Florida’s FDLRS Conference, and Instructional Empowerment’s Annual Building Expertise Conference, where I’ve presented each year for the past decade.
I’ve recently retired from presenting, and as you’ll see throughout this new website, I’m now devoting my time to connecting with teachers online and sharing my books, including three editions of my flagship Corwin publication, The InterActive Classroom. If you’ve seen me present over the years, you’ll recognize throughout my books the stories from the field, practical teaching strategies, and, of course, a heaping helping of humor.
So, take some time to step into the bookstore and browse the stacks. Teachers and administrators will find useful tools for helping today’s Gen Z and Generation Alpha students build the kind of social capital increasingly valued in an economy that relies on teams and teamwork.
The bookstore also includes an annex filled with practical tools and tips teachers can use in their classrooms today and every day.
Every so often, I’ll open the door to a room at the end of the stacks, where I’ll highlight one of my fellow authors and presenters.
Mind your step, however. Ladders, stools, book carts, and comfortable reading chairs abound, just as they did in bookstores past.
